There are plenty of chances to help out homeless veterans in DC in the coming weeks. Keep reading for just a few ideas to show your appreciation.

Answer phones at the Veterans Crisis Line

Special training is provided at crisis centers across the country for veterans and veteran families who need a lifeline. The DMV locations are at the Department of Mental Health and the Mental Health Association of Montgomery County.

Donate your clothing to homeless veterans

The Purple Heart Foundation will come pick up your bundle for you! Fill out a request form on their website and they’ll be in touch about your contribution.

Volunteer with a blind veteran

The Blinded Veterans Association in here in DC and is always looking for people to help out in hospitals, outpatient programs and outreach centers.
